Participants will learn how robots can actually save their lives and sanity. Autocrat is one of the most popular and powerful tools for turning requested information from various sources into documents that can be shared. Entry level users and intermediate users who are not familiar with mail merge add-ons will benefit from this handy too. This session will walk through the hows of using Autocrat and help participants to create their first mail merged files. This session will show them how to collect data in a Form, how that data can be exported to a sheet, how that data can be arranged and shared with various stake-holders. This session will also share with them the tools necessary to continue and teach this back at their respective sites.
Attendees will create a basic Google Form, collect some sample data, and export that data to a Sheet. They will create merge fields (tags) in both a template and their Sheet. Then get the add-on Autocrat. Following this, they will walk through how to create an Autocrat job which creates an award certificate or other document they desire. It will also leave them with the tools and knowledge to explore the mail merge concept in greater detail as they leave.
